This online reference service is provided by References Upon Request, LLC ("References Upon Request"). References Upon Request provides online recommendation services for individuals and companies. Your use of this service is subject to the terms and conditions contained herein. By accessing or using this online service, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Use of Online Reference Service

You may use this online service for the sole purpose of authoring a reference electronically for an individual or company that has engaged References Upon Request to provide the online reference service. You agree to provide true and accurate information about yourself and the individual or company requesting a reference. You will not impersonate any other person or attempt to access another user's account under any circumstance.

Access to the online recommendation service is available through a unique PAC and password that will be created for you by References Upon Request and sent to you via email, based on the email address provided for you. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account PAC and password. If you forget your PAC or password, please use the "Technical Support" link located on the online reference login screen to submit a request to our technical support staff to obtain your information. If you believe your PAC and/or password have been compromised or your account has experienced unauthorized access, please notify References Upon Request as soon as you discover this fact.

You agree to abide by any security standards of References Upon Request. Under these standards, you shall not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the References Upon Request system (data, materials, information, computer systems, networks, databases or servers) through hacking, password mining or by any other means. Any such attempt shall subject you to immediate sanction by References Upon Request

You agree not to use any device, software or routine that may interfere in any way with the functioning of the online reference system, or take any action that is deemed by References Upon Request to impose any unreasonable burden or load on the References Upon Request systems.

References Upon Request keeps all information in your recommendation confidential. References Upon Request does not review your references or play any role in the accuracy of the content of each reference..

Your in-progress recommendation account will be kept active for 6 months following the initial recommendation request.

Unauthorized use of this service is prohibited and violators can be prosecuted under federal and state laws. Virginia law and Federal law will govern the interpretation and enforcement of these terms and conditions. If any provision or term of these Terms of Use shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision or term shall be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions or terms.
